INTERNATIONAL GIRL CHILD DAY (IGCD), 2022
The International Girl Child Day is celebrated yearly on the 11th of October to increase awareness on issues that matter to girls. The theme for this year’s celebration is, Our Time is Now- Our Rights, Our Future.
Impact Driven Initiative for Sustainable Development (IDISD) in collaboration with Association of Professional Counsellors in Nigeria Aprocon KWARA is organizing a day programme for secondary school girls at Ilorin and Offa.
In view of the above this year's program will hold at Sheikh AbdulSalam secondary School inside United secondary School at Taiwo Isale Ilorin and Offa Grammar School - Junior Secondary, Offa on Tuesday 11th October.
The following are topics to be discussed by different specialist:
1. The digital world, Our World - ICT Expert
2. Contemporary issues affecting school girls - Professional Counsellor
3. Bleaching and it's repercussions - Pharmacist
4. My Entrepreneurship Journey - Successful Entrepreneur
The occasion will be grace by:
SSA on NGO Affairs, Mrs. Oloruntoyosi Thomas (Offa Centre) and
SSA Water Resources- Mall Usman Ndanusa (Ilorin Centre).
